Arise: A Study on the Book of Nehemiah by Kristin Schmucker has been the subject of my small group at church the last few weeks. I was so encouraged in the fact that prayer to God should be our go-to for every decision, big and small. Nehemiah was adamant about that point in his own life and God blessed him for it. Also, obedience to the Lord at every turn without hesitation and then waiting on the Lord. His timing is always perfect. If you or your small group are looking for inspiration, this study will be quite fulfilling.

This study has been so encouraging simply because the book of Nehemiah contains so many truths and reminders for believers. The study does a good job highlighting the beautiful character of the Lord in Nehemiah. Currently doing this with a group and everyone is loving it!

Before beginning this study, I knew little to nothing about the book of Nehemiah. Not only have I learned many facts about Nehemiah, his life & his role in the history of God's people, but my spirit has also been encouraged & challenged! I would encourage anyone looking for a good Bible study resource to consider this book!

I truly came to love the book of Nehemiah through this study. The reflections, Biblical references, and overall explanations of theology and hermeneutics really engaged me and pulled me in . It's a beautiful book and one I love to keep up on my shelf, even though I'm finished with it!
