Bible Study Tools: Amen

by: Sarah Morrison

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. Repeat them to your children. Deuteronomy 6:5-7

Some of us have children, some of us are in waiting, some have grown kids with their own children–the fact of the matter, though, is that most of us have children in our lives. Neighbor's children, church family's children, and extended family, the options are endless and we each have an opportunity to speak into the lives of the children that surround us. One of the most important things we can do is raise up children who know and understand the Scriptures. This isn't limited to those who have children but is a task that is set before each individual within Christ's church. Family members, church members, Sunday school teachers–each of us has a task to look at the upcoming generation and participate in growing them in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

We find this mission so important at The Daily Grace Co. that we have created a myriad of tools for raising up the children in your life in God's Word. Our newest edition of this venture is Amen. This children's book takes the readers on a journey from the beginning of the Bible to the end, and leaves us on a note of hope in Jesus' second advent.

It can be difficult for us to explain parts of the Bible to children. It's a challenge to convey things in a way that they understand while also keeping the integrity of what is portrayed in the Bible. This book seeks to do just that–explaining the bible in a meaningful yet simple way so that children can partake in the wonder and beauty of what Scripture says.

Beginning in Genesis, this book tells readers about the creation of earth and the fall of mankind, explaining how sin entered the world and now affects us all. The readers are caused to meditate on what Genesis 3:15 really means and ask themselves: who is this that will come and crush the snake that tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden? Who will come and save the world? This theme is traced through the rest of Scripture, cataloging the covenant between Abraham and God, the history of Israel, and eventually, leading readers to the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

This kid's book is aimed at helping you share the story of Scripture with the children in your life. Whether you are a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or a member of a church with children, this book is aimed at helping you convey the story of the Bible to kids without watering down the message of Jesus. This book is filled with eye-catching and beautiful illustrations that are sure to keep little ones engaged and captivated along with a story that in itself is captivating. When we teach children the whole storyline of the Bible, we are training them to understand it on their own. We hope and pray that this book will be a blessing and tool that points children and families alike to the Christ.
