God’s Word and Our Emptiness with Nancy Guthrie | Ep. 85
On today’s episode, we have the honor of having Nancy Guthrie join us. Nancy is a Bible teacher, author of many books, podcast host, and lover of God, His Word, and His people. Her latest book is called God Does His Best Work with Empty, and today, we talk about how God does indeed use the various forms of emptiness we all feel on this side of eternity. We talk about the beauty of approaching Scripture through the lens of biblical theology, and how even the theme of emptiness can be traced throughout the Bible. So many of us see the emptiness in our lives and are tempted to despair. We wrestle with feelings of loneliness, disappointment, and dissatisfaction, and we wonder if God sees us and can even use us. But as Nancy reminds us, emptiness never stopped God from His work. In fact, when we look at the story of Scripture, we see that He does His best work with empty!
