Hope in Suffering with Katherine and Jay Wolf | Ep. 54

Hope in Suffering with Katherine and Jay Wolf | Ep. 54

Episode 54

On today’s episode, we are joined by Katherine and Jay Wolf. Katherine and Jay have a story of overwhelming loss: Katherine suffered a massive stroke when she was 26-years old due to a congenital malformation in her brain. From a medical perspective, her world was turned upside down. One minute they thought they were headed toward a certain future: Jay would graduate law school in 3-weeks, and Katherine would continue her pursuit of acting and modeling while caring for their 6-month old son. The next minute, Katherine is in a risky surgery that required the removal of half of her cerebellum. She spent 40 days in the ICU, endured years of rehab, and defied the odds.

Katherine and Jay testify that though their story is one of overwhelming loss, it’s also one of overwhelming love. It’s a story where the living hope of Christ anchors and heals. It’s a story of redemption. Through their suffering, God birthed a new story that showed His faithfulness and goodness. Though it’s a story marked by disability, they have learned that suffering is a unique platform to proclaim the excellencies of God and to serve others. We believe their story will encourage you, no matter what your journey looks like!
