How to Handle Stress | Ep. 117

Episode 117

Stress is something all of us know about to varying degrees. There are many different kinds of stress, from situational to routine to traumatic. In God’s good design, He equipped our bodies to be able to respond to different situations. He actually designed our bodies to respond to stressors to keep us safe! This is grace because stressors are a reality of the fall. However, this doesn’t mean we always handle stress well. Our responses to stress aren’t always peaceful. The world offers us many approaches to stress management from self-care to cutting out hard things in our lives to entertainment. We also know that many people deal with stress through substance abuse, eating disorders, and more. How can we, as believers, handle stress?
The Bible gives us principles for dealing with stress. We believe that, as followers of Christ, we are offered a way to handle stress with peace. We can manage stress in a healthy, God-honoring, gospel-magnifying way! In this episode, we offer some practical ways to do this. We can navigate the pressures of this world from a place of peace in Christ!
