How We Approach Money with Rachel Cruze | Ep. 102

How We Approach Money with Rachel Cruze | Ep. 102

Episode 102

Most people don’t like talking about money. It’s a topic that makes us squirm. But why? Money itself is neutral. The problem rises when it becomes an idol in our lives or when we look to it to afford us a certain lifestyle. Some may even use financial status as a barometer for God’s favor, which is a false gospel! But this doesn’t mean that Christians can’t be rich either! The thing each of us has to be mindful of is how we’re relating to money. No matter how much or how little we have, the goal is faithful stewardship to the glory of God! But the truth is, this can be tricky. Money has a subtle way of captivating our hearts. We need to go to God’s Word to find counsel on how to handle our money in a way that truly glorifies God.

We also want to get really practical about how to approach money. During the second half of this episode, we are joined by Rachel Cruze, and she helps us do this. Rachel is the daughter of Dave Ramsey, who is an expert on this topic and the creator of Financial Peace University. Rachel has worked closely with her dad for years, but recently, she released her own book called Know Yourself, Know Your Money. In this book, she talks about why we handle the money the way we do--the roots to go deeper than we may think! Be sure to check out her book and her website (here), and you can also find her on Twitter and Instagram. Also, check out her podcast: The Rachel Cruze Show.

We want to invite women to join us in our conversation about our great God, and be encouraged to seek a deeper knowledge of God that leads them to live their lives for God’s glory as they grow in love and awe in response to who He is.
