Personal Conscience with Emily Jensen & Laura Wifler of Risen Motherhood | Ep. 30
On today’s episode, we are joined by the ladies at Risen Motherhood! Emily Jensen and Laura Wifler are the co-founders of Risen Motherhood and co-hosts of the Risen Motherhood podcast. The RM ministry helps women understand that the gospel is for every mom and the gospel matters for everyday life. They encourage moms to allow the resurrection of Jesus to transform their motherhood because it can! Be sure to pre-order their new book released September 3rd: click here!
In this conversation, the four of us discuss the topic of personal conscience. The Bible isn’t cut and dry about every minute detail of our lives. We have a thousand tiny decisions to make every single day, and many of those decisions fall into the gray areas of Scripture. The Word of God is clear on the main things regarding the Christian faith, and it offers sufficient principles to guide the Christian life. For the gray areas, the Lord (by His grace and good design) has given us the gift of the personal conscience. But what exactly is the conscience? Is it the Holy Spirit? Why does personal conscience guide individuals in different ways? Can we trust it? What shapes a person’s conscience? This is a fascinating topic that has tremendous implications for our everyday lives.
