FAQ

Q: How long does the proposal review process take?
A: The review process typically takes around 12 weeks. We carefully evaluate every proposal, which takes time, and we appreciate your patience.

Q: When should I plan to hear back about my proposal?
A: Most proposals receive a response within 12 weeks. Proposals move through multiple rounds of review, and if yours advances beyond the initial stage, we’ll be in touch. If you haven’t heard from us, your proposal is still under review.

Q: Can I submit more than one proposal?
A: You may, but we recommend focusing on one strong proposal at a time to give it the care and clarity it deserves.

Q: Can I submit a proposal for a Bible study?
A: Bible study proposals have very specific qualification requirements. If you’re interested in submitting one, please email acquisitions@thedailygraceco.com to start a conversation.

Q: What are The Daily Grace Co.’s theological distinctives?
A:  Our theological commitments are outlined in our Statement of Faith, which we encourage all submitting authors to review.

Q: What does distribution look like for books published with The Daily Grace Co.?
A: We distribute through our website, Christianbook.com, Amazon, and a broad network of wholesale and church partners. We are actively expanding into additional online and brick-and-mortar retail channels.

Q: What is a typical timeline for writing an initial manuscript?
A: After a publishing agreement is signed, most authors have 3–6 months to complete the initial manuscript, depending on the scope and length of the book.

Q: What is acceptable AI use in a book proposal?
A: AI may be used to polish or refine your proposal, but not to write any portion of the sample chapters. Proposals that rely on AI-generated writing for sample chapter content will be declined.

A: I noticed The Daily Grace Co. books don’t have the author’s name of the front cover. Will I be credited as the author of my book if I publish it with you?
Q: Yes. While author names do not appear on the front cover, they are listed on the inside title page. You authored the book, and you will be credited accordingly. Our cover design reflects our commitment to highlighting the message of the book rather than building the platform of the author.
