Personal Goals and the Gospel | Ep. 50

On today’s episode, we dig a little deeper into the topic of goals. Resolutions and goals are popular this time of year. Some of us may push against personal goal setting because we view goals as self-promoting. Maybe we resist them because we don’t want to play into the cultural narrative of “hustling”. We may ask ourselves, “Should Christians be a part of this goal-setting trend? Are goals worth our time?” We discuss these concerns today. We acknowledge the truth that are pitfalls to goal-setting, but we also believe there are many dangers of not goal-setting. We believe that goals can help us use our time, talents, and resources to love God and to love others. Goals can help us be intentional. Goals can help us make the most of the time we have. Goals can help us meet our ultimate aim of glorifying God in everything we do!
