Why You Need Theology | Ep. 1

Why You Need Theology | Ep. 1

Episode 1

On this episode of Daily Grace, we chat on the broad topic of theology and discuss the meaning behind the phrase, “everyone's a theologian” (R.C. Sproul). Did you realize that you are a theologian? Does that confuse you because you didn’t go to seminary or struggle to even read the Bible everyday? Don’t worry - we were right there at one point in time, too! But it’s true, and we’re going to unpack what that means today.

We’ll start off by defining theology. It’s not as scary as it sounds! We’ll talk about what the goal of theology is, and why theology even matters. We’ll share our personal stories regarding our study of theology and the impact that it has had on our lives. We dive a little deeper into the acronym S.C.A.N., which details the four traditional attributes of Scripture, because the Bible is the primary place we should look for our theology. Then we’ll move into a more practical discussion about how you can engage in theology, even if you’re a new believer! We’ll top off our conversation by talking about the potential pitfalls to watch out for as you grow in your study of theology.
