On today’s episode, we talk about body image issues. While it’s true that God looks at our hearts and cares for the eternal well-being of our souls, He also made us as whole persons with physical bodies. In fact, our physical bodies were declared to be “good” along with the rest of creation! But when sin entered the world, it distorted the way we relate to God, others, and even ourselves. Now, many of us wrestle with negative body image. We experience shame or pride or despair because of how we look or don’t look. But here’s the truth: the gospel offers us true freedom in this area. Jesus can overcome the heart issues related to body image issues. We can find our worth, not in our outward appearances, but in our union with Christ!
