The Truth about Gossip | Ep. 52
On today’s episode, we talk about gossip. We’re all familiar with gossip; most of us have been on the giving or receiving end of it or we’ve witnessed it happening around us. We can all agree that it’s not kind to gossip, but do we really understand the ramifications of gossip? Gossiping is saying what you don’t need to say, whether or not it’s true. It is always harmful and never helpful. It is unloving. And the most important truth about gossip is this: gossip is sin. Yet, we justify gossip for a variety of reasons. We can even pass it off as “seeking counsel” or “asking for prayer”. And we wonder: is it even possible to avoid gossiping? Joanna and Stefanie discuss the truth about gossip, and how believers can be people who agree with God on what gossip is and hate it. They even get practical of how we avoid gossip, even within marriages. It’s not easy, but with God’s help, we can do hard things for the glory of God!
