We just finished the 6 lessons of attributes. Once the study gets to communicable attributes it is missing the very important verses and discussion of how we actually will put on these in our daily walk. For instance with wise there is not one verse that actually says God is wise, and there are no verses in Proverbs to show what wisdom actually is when it is from God and how important it is to know that. So I believe a rework of the communicable attributes showing verses that we can use to see if we are walking in these truths and reflecting the image of God is necessary. Without these things, without the warnings in wrath and Jealousy it really just becomes an academic exercise in a list of who God is. And as important and wonderful as that is, we need to know how to “put on” what He has given us and walk in the manner worthy of our calling.

Your study on communicable attributes does not give any verses of living them out. Especially with wrath and jealousy where there are specific warnings. They become sin in us. Also with wise you include no verses on judging whether we are walking in Godly wisdom or man’s wisdom, what about proverbs. So if you are going to have communicable attributes you must do a better job of how they are when they are taken into our finite beings. Wrath and jealousy have warnings - big warnings. I think this should be reworked.

We are using this book in our women’s Bible study at church and it is so so good! I ordered a few extra and I like the fact that they come really quickly. I will definitely be ordering more in the future..

This has been a wonderful study. Encouraging my growth in the knowledge of the character of God. Truly helps me in meditating on God and His Word.
