On today’s episode, we talk about Scripture meditation. What comes to your mind when you hear the word “meditation”? Maybe you think about chants or guided breathing or mindfulness. Maybe you think it’s just a New Age practice, and you feel some skepticism. But did you know that Scripture commands us to meditate? Of course, biblical meditation is distinct. It’s not self-focused like other meditation practices; instead, Christian meditation is God-focused. It is lingering, absorbing, and delighting in God and in His Word and allowing gospel truths to transform you. It’s a rich spiritual discipline that moves us from being hearers of God’s Word to doers. In partnership with the Holy Spirit, it is the means to apply Scripture and aids us in our pursuit of Christlikeness. We hope this conversation stirs your heart to pause and ponder the glorious truths of God found in His Word.
