Prayer has always been a part of my relationship with God, but this study made me realize that I still had so much to learn about what it means to truly have a life of prayer. There have been seasons when prayer has come easily for me and other seasons when I’ve struggled to find the words, stay focused, or even feel like praying at all.
What I loved about this study is that it met me in all of those places. It reminded me that I don’t have to come to God with the perfect words. I can come anxious, frustrated, grieving, distracted, grateful, or unsure of what to say. He simply wants me to come.
Learning more about praying Scripture was especially meaningful for me because it gave me something to hold onto when my own words felt insufficient. More than anything, this study helped me see prayer less as something I need to “get right” and more as an invitation to be honest with God and spend time in His presence.
I finished this study wanting my prayer life to be deeper, more consistent, and more honest, and that alone made it worth doing.
